Black Swans are ready to use right out of the box.  However, we’ve found that with a few extra tricks, you can get a much better results.  Here’s a few of our favorites:

• Raw shrimp (60 – 80 count from Wal-Mart) seem to work best for catching catfish.  Worms also work when they don’t seem to want shrimp.
• Minnows during the daytime hours work great for a combination of crappie and catfish.
• During night fishing, try fishing only two feet deep.
• In windier conditions, clip a small removable split shot on the line just above the swivel to maintain depth.
